ABOUT REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER
The Regional Training Center – Zamboanga Peninsula is a training facility of TESDA in Region IX. It is one in a national network of the Regional Training Centers established by the Government of the Republic of the Philippines in affirmation of its commitment to provide the youth and unemployed adults with employable technical skills and upgrade the level of competencies of industry workers in Zamboanga Peninsula and neighboring provinces.

The training programs or courses of the center support TESDA’s effort of pushing the agenda for reform in the TVET sector. As one of the public training providers, the center has envisioned to provide quality TESD programs in order to meet the challenges in the local and international labor markets.
The training programs are in the seven technology areas such as Automotive, Electrical, Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Construction, Electronics, Welding and Machining technology. These are aimed at equipping the trainees with appropriate technical knowledge and skills up to technician level.
Today the paramount concern of the center is to strengthen its partnership with the private sector. The anticipated cooperation of the private sector in TVET enables the center to provide the manpower need of industry. Hopefully, with the partnership arrangement, the Center shall be able to: a) source out additional sources of income; b) keep in touch with the technological processes that are taking place in the industries; and c) implement a better market –oriented training programs in order to guarantee its sustainability.
Further, the Center is committed to the task of providing highly competitive graduates making them more indispensable human resources in the automotive sector, manufacturing and construction industries.
